As the new school year is quickly approaching, parents have been scrambling to figure out what school will look like for the rest of the year. Previously, schools were informed they could only function virtually for up to three weeks. However, since then, that number has increased, and schools will not be penalized financially for more extended periods of distance learning. So what does distance learning look like? Well, this could be pre-recorded videos discussing lesson plans, or even live streaming with the teacher. Here is a fun example of a video we helped record for the Frisco Library.

 

What do I need for distance learning

 

If you are a parent with a kiddo at home, distance learning only requires an internet connection, webcam capabilities for zoom calls, and a computer. The Hills Are Alive…With the Sound of Live Event Cinema

Network studios are always looking to find ways to increase viewership among the masses and, more and more, they are turning to Event Cinema.  The Sound Of Music Live! starring Carrie Underwood recently aired on NBC as a live event production. For the first time in over 50 years, a musical was broadcast live on network television for American audiences.  Although the performance was met with mixed reviews, a total of 18.62 million viewers tuned in to watch the young country music starlet giving NBC its highest Thursday night entertainment program viewership since the series finale of Frasier in 2004.
